I just wanted to give you some feedback on our first aid training course last Thursday.

I have been a qualified first aider for about 25 years so have done a lot of first aid courses both in Australia and overseas.

Your course on Thursday was the most insightful and well-delivered first aid course I have ever done. I learned more from your one-day course than I have in every course I have ever done before.

I think one of the biggest things I took away was the background as to why things happen and what is happening to someone when they have had an accident or medical emergency. I will be more confident going into a situation from now on.

Berrima Buslines recently updated the First Aid Certificates of 8 staff including Management and used the services of Kiaran Drew at Highlands First Aid. I have sat through a number of First Aid courses and in the past have walked away exhausted and over loaded with information.

This course was different, Kiaran’s background as a Paramedic made a huge difference to the manner in which this course was delivered, the real life examples and descriptions from someone who had actually faced such emergencies was enlightening.

We had Kiaran and his team run a course for our team here at Peppers Manor House and found them fantastic to deal with. What was really different to other first aid courses was the hands on approach, the anecdotal stories and real life references that come from having the course run by active paramedics rather than ‘trainers’. Not only did the day fly by, because of the much higher level of interest the training material had because of the real life references, but I also believe we received a higher standard of training from them. I would definitely recommend their services.

In January, Kiaran at Highlands First Aid updated CPR for 55 field staff from The Outdoor Education Group, which consisted of a full day of back to back blocks. Feedback from the participants was all positive, they found that Kiaran covered all the areas very well with clear instruction.

They enjoyed the scenario style learning, as being Outdoor people, they don’t do well sitting about in classroom style learning. We look forward to working with Highlands First Aid, and Kiaran again in the future.
