Course Information
Our First Aid training involves realistic hands on style scenarios. These scenarios, may in some cases trigger some emotions. Please let us know if you feel you may experience any such emotions.
As of 01 January 2015 the Australian Government requires anyone who attends any course, must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). This is the way the Government can record all competencies, of any course someone does. This is free, only needs to be done once. It takes about five minutes to complete on line.
Please Note: Statements of Attainment (Certificates) will be issued by law in the NAME you have entered onto the USI site. If your name has changed by marriage or for any other reason, please change the details on the USI portal before enrolling.
Please note that no refund is available for any cancellation within three (3) days of the commencement of the course, however you may sit in on another course of the same competency without further charge.
The use of mobile phones / devices whilst the course is being taught, may result in being deemed Not Yet Component. Statements of Attainment (Certificates) will not be dispatched until full payment is made.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, or leave early for any reason, legally, we are NOT permitted to issue you with a Statement of Attainment.
Our training day, will be competency based, and we will be doing many scenarios. This will involve physical activity, with a lot of work on the floor. Please let us know if you have any physical restrictions that may hinder you.
First Aid, & CPR courses:
When attending the course, to obtain competency, you must be able to:
- Complete 2 minutes of UNINTERRUPTED CPR, on the floor, twice. Total 4 minutes of CPR. / Total 6 minutes if completing the HLTAID004 course
- Place a fellow participant into the RECOVERY POSITION, check their airway, and breathing, whilst on the floor.
- Complete a SECONDARY ASSESSMENT on a fellow participant whilst on the floor.
