FIRST AID TRAINING

We would like to introduce Highlands First Aid Training Solutions.

  • All our instructors have an Emergency Service background (and many with Paramedic experience).
  • We teach Hands on Scenarios style of First Aid as opposed to just reading from a book. This means that competency is gained by completing hands on scenarios.
  • All our courses are Nationally recognised.

FIRST AID TRAINER EXPERIENCE

Our lead trainer Kiaran’s background is Registered Paramedic with NSW Ambulance, and team leader in one of the states busiest Rescue Squads.

The Federal Health Department sends him to Adelaide and Darwin to teach Provide First Aid in Remote Situations to Health Department staff, and he teaches this course to the Rangers in Kakadu National Park.

He has recently been asked to join an elite team that teaches Trauma Care for the Combat Casualty to the Defence Force.

TESTIMONIALS

Dear Kiaran, I would like to thank you for your extremely professional and informative first aid training session that you gave our staff today.

Being chaplain of the NSW Ambulance Service, I take our first aid training very seriously,  and I was immensely impressed with the way you delivered the course.

These are some quotes which the staff said about you and your training session today:

“It’s the best first aid course we’ve ever had!”, “He was totally committed”, “He was very passionate”, “He really cares”, “I’ve done plenty of first aid courses, but I learnt so much in this course – more than ever before!”

Thanks again for your expertise and excellent delivery of the material. We look forward to having you over again soon for another great training session. – Rabbi Dr Dovid Slavin, Yeshiva College Bondi

Highlands First Aid provided an excellent professional learning experience for our staff. The presenters all had extensive knowledge and experience in the field, with each session throughout the day being informative, practical and delivered with good humour. The structure of the day ensured that the staff were engaged and involved throughout.

The First Aid course is accredited by NESA and so had the important dimension of contributing to the staff’s professional learning hours. A highly recommended course – Mark Case, Deputy Head Pastoral, Oxley College Burradoo

“Kiaran, our instructor set the scene so that our scenarios were realistic. We participated in emergency situations. We had theory and practical situations and class input. Kiaran kept us interested and keen to learn and update our knowledge. We all benefitted from lots of CPR practice.”

“Kiaran Drew hands down is the BEST trainer I have ever undertaken a First aid course with. I am a registered Nurse & his information/explanations of why certain things occur was brilliant. It was very informative and engaging with a great mix of theory and practical. I will highly recommend Kiaran.”
